DIY Alabama Wreath: Under $10

So it's September in the South and what that really means is...... ITS ALABAMA FOOTBALL SEASON! )Well....some would call it a the season of "a team who must not be named" 'wink wink'.) But at my house its all crimson and white. In Alabama, not much changes about the weather in September. Its still HOT AF and humid, BUT there's something in the air. The first Saturday of the year you can just feeeeel fall. Even in your tank and flip-flops. In order to celebrate this changing on seasons I decorate buy house. Moneys been tight and I have been LOVING Dollar Tree! I just moved into a new house and I really wanted a wreath for my front door. Those can get really expensive, so I decided to challenge myself to making it for cheap! I already had the glue gun and glue sticks. Everything was purchased at Dollar Tree or thrift stores! Keep reading to find out more!

Step 1:

Get all of your supplies ready! You'll need one of those metal wreath circles, flowers, grains, some wooden letters, scissors, glue gun, and glue sticks. I ended up not needing the mesh.

Step 2:

Take all the flowers off the stems, Also separate the leaves. I bought these very nice Flowers at Dollar Tree! They are pretty good quality in my opinion...There was 5 steams to a bundle! Some flowers at Dollar tree are DUDS! But if you stay on the look out sometimes they have very nice ones!

Not sure why but this photo (below) makes me feel soooo accomplished HAHA

BONUS STEP:

I decided not to use the mesh but if you wanted to use it, just connect one end with string or zip ties
(I was going to used yarn because that's what I already had.

Step 3:

I bought my wreath at the dollar store! They are just like the ones at Hobby Lobby for $4. WHAT???Position your leaves all around the wreath. Its going to be your "back ground". Hot glue them down.

Step 4:

Add the flowers. I tried them a few different ways and I love the way alternating the colors looked!

Step 5: I added dried grains all around as well and I love how they make the wreath more 3 dimensional!

Step 6: Add your letters! I found mine at a thrift store for $.50 each! I painted them white and added some polka dots for fun!

Step 7:

Hang it up! SO easy and all for less than $10.00!!! Actually it only cost me $6.00 but its VERY affordable and SO adorable!
